Alienware Area-51 ALX Reviewed: Excellent gaming performance but too pricey

Area-51 ALX, Alienware’s current flagship PC has all the ingredients of a top-tier gaming rig. PCMag’s recent hands-on with the pricey desktop computer proved that you won’t always get the best value for your dollar.
The good: Strong, high-resolution gaming performance. Improved chassis build quality. Very little bloatware. Interior of the Area-51 ALX is very roomy. Excellent gaming.
The bad: Very expensive. Noisy.
The bottom line: The Alienware Area-51 ALX is a solid desktop with good performance across the board. But there are other, less-expensive choices out there that rival if not surpass its performance.
Price: Starting at $6,652.
