Magellan RoadMate 1430 Review: Interesting price, some functions sluggish

GPS maker Magellan’s RoadMate products are priced for the budget shopper. They look good too and they’re also much easier to use as compared to the older models.
The Good: Multisegment routing. Live traffic information. Intuitive interface. Traffic receiver integrated into the case.
The Bad: Some functions are sluggish. Occasional unexplained route recalculations.
The Bottomline: The RoadMate 1430 has features similar to those of Magellan’s luxury Maestro models. As the company’s least expensive widescreen GPS model to offer live traffic, it’s a pretty good deal.
Price: Starting at $296.
