Dell Inspiron 1420 Review: Good features and battery life for low Budget, overall a little dated

Dell-Inspiron-1420The Dell Inspiron 1420 offers a reasonable mix of components, including 3GB of RAM, but lacks the updated features found on Dell’s latest 15-inch Inspirons, including touch-sensitive media control buttons and an HDMI output, making it look and feel a little dated.

The Good: Fourteen-inch size offers best mix of usability and portability; decent performance among its midsize competition; excellent battery life.

The Bad: Dell has updated its 15-inch Inspiron models recently, making this model look a little dated.

The Bottomline: The basic 14-inch Inspiron 1420 is a reasonable choice for budget buyers who want something a little smaller than the standard 15-inch chassis, but this laptop has missed out on recent updates other Inspiron models have received.

Price: Starting at $649.
